August 21, 2011
Delaware 26, @Philadelphia 14
A stingy Delaware (2‑0) pass defense limited Brett Favre to an average completion of barely 6 yards and picked the Philadelphia (0‑2) field general off 4 times. Meanwhile, the average Philip Rivers completion was nearly 15 yards.

The Lakers, down 13‑0 at the break, scored twice early in the 3rd quarter to take the lead. The Cherries answered almost immediately with a 30-yard TD pass from Rivers to Lee Evans to take the lead for good. John Kasay made all 4 of his field goals attempts for Delaware.

Cherries head coach Jon Brams announced after the game that assistant coach C.P. Unyt would take over coaching duties for the remainder of the season. Brams cited burn-out but left open the possibility that he could back for the playoffs should Delaware make them.
